The Helpful Little Cloud
In a village nestled between green hills and a sparkling river, there was a small, fluffy cloud named Nimbus. Nimbus wasn’t like the other clouds in the sky. While the big, heavy clouds could bring rain and thunder, Nimbus could only float around gently and bring shade to the village below. Nimbus often felt small and unimportant.
One hot summer day, the villagers were struggling with the intense heat. The sun shone brightly, and the farmers had to work hard under the scorching rays. Nimbus wanted to help but wasn’t sure how. She watched as the tall, dark clouds floated far away, bringing rain to other lands, while she remained small and light, unsure of her purpose.
That afternoon, as she hovered above the village, Nimbus noticed a group of children playing outside. They were sweating under the hot sun, their faces flushed with heat. Nimbus had an idea. She gathered all her strength and decided to stretch her soft, fluffy form to cover the sun just above the village.
As she floated over the children, they looked up in surprise and delight. The shade from Nimbus was cool and refreshing. The children laughed and ran around, their energy returning as they played under the cloud’s protection. Soon, the farmers, feeling the relief of the shade, stopped their work to rest and drink water.
Nimbus felt a warmth in her heart as she saw how much her simple act of shading had helped the village. She didn’t need to be big or bring rain to make a difference—her kindness and willingness to help had brought relief and joy to those around her.
As the day ended and the sun set, Nimbus floated away, knowing that even though she wasn’t the biggest cloud, she had a special role to play in making the world a better place.
Moral: Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference. Never underestimate the power of what you can offer, no matter how small you may feel
