The Clever Little Squirrel

The Clever Little Squirrel

Once upon a time, in a dense, beautiful forest, there lived a little squirrel named Nutty. Nutty was small, but she was very clever and loved to explore. One sunny afternoon, while gathering acorns, Nutty saw a large, old oak tree with a door carved into its trunk. Curious, she scampered up to the door and knocked. To her surprise, the door opened, revealing a wise old owl named Oliver.

"Hello, little one! What brings you here?" asked Oliver.

Nutty, excited and full of questions, replied, "I was exploring the forest and saw this strange door. What is inside the tree, Mr. Oliver?"

Oliver smiled and said, "This tree is a special library. I have many books about the forest, its animals, and all the things you might want to know. But there’s one rule: you can only enter if you promise to never take more than you need."

Nutty, eager to learn, agreed without hesitation. She walked inside and was amazed by the rows of books. Nutty started reading and learned about plants, animals, and even the changing seasons. After a while, she noticed that the forest was getting quieter. The trees were bare, and many animals seemed to be in a hurry, storing food for the upcoming winter.

Nutty, remembering the lessons from the library, realized it was time to prepare for winter too. But she noticed some of her neighbors—like the rabbit family and a few birds—weren’t gathering enough food. Nutty decided to share what she had learned and offered to help. She taught them how to gather acorns, find food, and store it safely for the cold months ahead.

Winter came, and while others struggled, Nutty’s little friends had plenty of food to keep them warm and fed. They were all grateful, and Nutty felt proud knowing that sharing her knowledge helped them all.

Moral of the Story: Sharing knowledge and helping others leads to a stronger, happier community. Don't just take what you need—help others find what they need too.
