The Honest Little Bird

The Honest Little Bird
Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a small bird named Chirpy. Chirpy was known for his cheerful songs and bright, colorful feathers. One day, while Chirpy was flying through the trees, he found a shiny golden coin lying on the ground.

"Wow! Look at this shiny coin! It’s so beautiful!" Chirpy thought. He picked it up with his beak and flew around the forest, showing it to his friends.

The wise old owl, who saw Chirpy holding the coin, asked, "Chirpy, where did you find that coin?"

Chirpy looked at the owl and said, "I found it lying on the ground! It's mine now!"

The owl gently replied, "But remember, if that coin belongs to someone else, you must return it."

Chirpy paused and thought about the owl's words. He had not seen anyone around who seemed to have lost something. Still, something didn’t feel right.

Chirpy flew to the river and saw a squirrel looking sad. The squirrel was searching for something. "What’s wrong?" Chirpy asked.

"I’ve lost my coin! I was saving it to buy food for the winter, but now it’s gone," said the squirrel, looking worried.

Chirpy’s heart sank. He knew right away that the coin he had found belonged to the squirrel. He quickly flew back and returned the golden coin to the squirrel.

The squirrel was so happy and grateful. "Thank you, Chirpy! You’re such an honest friend!"

Chirpy smiled and said, "I’m glad I could help. It feels better to do what’s right."

Moral of the Story: Always be honest, even when no one is watching. Doing the right thing is the best way to feel good inside.
